Moving couch on slide

I want to move the couch that's located on the drivers side slide inward about 3-6 inches to accommodate a TV lift. That should put less stress on the slide mechanism but the couch will overlap where the slide floor meets the coach floor about 1 to 3 inches.
Anybody see a problem with this?
 
Not a problem until you move the slide in or out. You will then drag or push the couch across the floor unless you have the couch suspended in the air and have it hanging over the joint area. (That is, of course, if I correctly interpret what you are trying to describe!!!)
