How does one go about finding a water leak....the front end is currently lower because of the slant of our driveway, and since we took the motorhome off the jacks I have found a wet rug , water seems to be gathering on the rug just below the brake pedal where the wall there makes a 90 degree angle just past the brake and a wet rug all the way over to the outside wall on the drivers side, and it is just slightly damp along the outside wall where the rug meets the wall.  Any suggestions?  This is a 2005 Holiday Rambler Vacationer.

I'm not familiar with the Holiday Rambler but remember water can travel a good distance before it meets the surface where you discover it. It's not uncommon for a class A to leak around the windshield. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for it to drip down the fire wall.

The absolute best is to have a seal test done.  While not cheap it will point out every place water can get in.  Then you choose, either have the tester mark all the places, or go ahead and seal them up.

It's mostly guess work, though you can follow the wet area on the floor to get some ideas.

Is there a slide near by? Window? Can you see or feel any wetness behind the dash (windshield leak)? Have you gone up on the roof an inspected the seam where the front cap joins the body? That's a major body seam in that area, and some HR's & Monaco's of that vintage are prone to a leak at the cap seam.
