Bought 93 dodge campervan this summer. replaced the deep cycle and vehicle batteries and the brand new vehicle battery was drained after it sat foe a week or so. The mechanic could not find any drain on the battery and he charged the battery. I am new to RVing and not sure if tthere is a drain from the camper stuff. Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks

Welcome!!!

There is bound to be at least one. The propane detector is one that is usually connected straight to the house battery supply bypassing any battery cutoff switches. It should last longer than a week though. You should probably check the alternator and charging system though, just to avoid any nasty surprises in the future.

But who knows?? This vehicle has probably had several owners over the years, any one of them could have modified the original arrangement or... that new battery may not have been fully charged in the beginning.

Just as an FYI, the truck battery (engine etc.) is usually referred to as the chassis battery and the "camper stuff" battery (usually a deep discharge battery), as the house battery or batteries.
