While my husband was driving down the road, the jacks started beeping, he pulled to the roadside and started hitting the jack buttons...it stopped,,,so he started out again and they started beeping again and after a few minutes they stopped....and nothing the rest of the way. Any idea why it is beeping intermittently? Thanks

If it's a hydraulic system it could be low on fluid which can let them drift down some.

Also when you hit the store button let the system turn it's self off instead of turning it off as soon as the lights go out.

It might help to let us know what RV you are driving.

How do you know the beeping was associated with the jacks?  When you left was your "jacks down" light off?

First find your hydraulic reservoir.  You can find this by tracing the hydraulic lines from the jacks.  It might be in a compartment that has no carpeting, or mounted somewhere on the underside of your rig.

Once you find it it might have a sight gauge on the side of the canister or a fluid level stick.
