Low to high profile toilet
« on: November 16, 2017, 01:32:59 PM »
I have a 1989 30' Fleetwood Southwinds. I really dislike the color of the toilet in our Rv so I went and bought a beautiful white Thetford half porcelain toilet. What I didn't realize is that there are 2 different heights. Low and High profile. Is it easy to change from a low to a high? The ugly base would have to go because I would need a ladder if it was installed on top of it. Please help! I threw out the box for it so I can't return it.

The difference should be about the same as the low and high level toilets in home bathrooms. The higher ones are about 1.5 to 2 inches taller, similar to the handicap enabled seats in public rest rooms.

Is the install any harder to do besides getting rid of the ugly base?
