nc outer banks campgrounds

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!

If you can go without hookups you just can't beat the National Seashore. We stayed at the one in Frisco and had a great time. Inexpensive as well especially if you have either access or senior pass. I have read reviews for private campgrounds as well on rvparkreviews.com but can't offer first hand review. There are 3 or 4 locations on the obx where the National Seashore has campgrounds. You can find out more on nps.com.
Best wishes for a great trip!

DW and I spent 2 weeks on the Outer Banks 4 years ago. We camped in a 38' motorhome. The National Campground (NC) at Okacoke  (sp) is right on the ocean. All the other NC had walkways so one could walk to the ocean. The NG were basically dry camping with dumps and fresh water. Many of the camping spots were short but we had no problem in finding spots long enough for our 38'.  All the campgrounds were very clean. We did stay at a full hookup camp ground at Cape Hatterias for 2 days in order to wash clothes, charge batteries and dump. We came from the south via ferry and left via US 64. Nice trip which I would do again.

Oh, This Interests Hubby and me!

I was admiring this site this morning before  I found this thread:

https://koa.com/campgrounds/cape-hatteras/site-type/rv-camping-sites/

We were thinking about going there  in July and Williamsburg Va

http://www.anvilcampground.com/index.html on the way back  to MD, and seeing the sites at both places.
