Greetings All! Haven't posted much but have enjoyed learning about RVing from the members! Currently have an Edge M21. Love the unit but hate (HATE!!) the jack knife sofa. Wife and I are looking at getting a different unit and would love your suggestions. What we'd like: ~4,000 lbs. dry, full queen, 2 recliners or theater seating, no dinette, no sofa, ducted HVAC. We thought the folks on here might know of a brand for us to look at as there are so many options. Thanks for your suggestions, Jim.

Agree with Pam.  If you love the camper, but hate the sofa, simply replace the sofa!  No need to throw the baby (camper) out with the bath water (sofa).  Residential recliners work very well.

FWIW, the previous owner of our camper, referring to the sleeper sofa, said it was a perfect bed for someone who had overstayed their welcome.

I'd have already swapped the sofa for recliners if the slide floor wasn't 14" high. The top of the tires on a M21 are above the floor level so the slide has a raised box to clear them. Haven't found any that had a base that could be altered enough.

Just add the recliner and pretend you are sitting on a throne, looking over your subjects!  ;D

That is an issue!

Modify your existing rig. We pulled out our jack knife sofa and replaced it with two recliners and a small tale.

We did the same, don't get cheap theater seating or cheap recliners.  They don't last.  We just hunt Craig's list and get Lazy boys for $40 to $100 each and then when they need to be replaced it doesn't hurt so much.  We just finished doing it for the second time today, we went looking for new on Black Friday sales.  $1500 for 2  We just bought an electric one for $100 and a really nice nearly new one for $50 because the lady didn't like the color once she got it home.
