While we have lots of winter camping experience in our 5th wheel, just completed a 3 week boondocking trip in the mountains. This is our first cool/cold weather outing in our, new to us (10 year old) class c. We just got it this summer, and have only used it a couple of times (hot weather). Though we don?t expect temperatures to go below single digits (10 F here at the house now), hopefully this little trip will show any problems that we may encounter. We bought the unit for short term winter camping trips (ice fishing, etc.).
So... yesterday afternoon spent, ?de-winterizing? ( flushing lines, filling fresh tank, ?firing-up? the water heater). Now it?s off to the city for a couple of days Christmas shopping and our quarterly trip to Sams and Costco. Will use the Class C like a big SUV. No motel rooms, home cooked meals, and boondocking at Cabela?s....?now that?s camping?!
