Automatic Generator starting.

I was wondering if automatic generator start up was available for retro installation.

I have a Onan 5.5 generator. This past weekend we used the batteries up to the point that the fridge notified us in the wee hours of morning that the batteries were to low to operate properly. Had to use the battery boost to start the generator.

I know there are devices that sense battery levels and when it gets to certain stage, automatically start. Are these devices available for retrofitting?

I am not sure what is available on the market at the moment, I think Onan did offer a unit, the EC 30, I am not sure if it is still available.

The Onan EC-30 AGS is still available. Xantrex and Magnum Energy also make Onan compatiple AGS systems.

If you can find a EC-30W that would be the way to go. Much easier installation.
