I need to clean and polish my rear wheels and I am wondering if anybody has raised the rear one side at a time on the jacks, and removed the outside rear wheel on that side.  Again - one side at a time.  My bus is in my garage on a smooth level surface.

Is this okay or a really bad idea?
 
You need to see if you have the 2 stage Budd lugs.. or is both wheels held in place by the one lug nut.



 
That's a really good question, my bet is both wheels are held on by the one outer nut.  I will check tomorrow.
