Allison 2100MH check transmission temperature
« on: December 25, 2017, 03:21:46 PM »
Recently had the transmission service and started to get a “check trans temp” message. Both times was at 65 mph on level grade; reduced speed to 60 and it was fine. Less than 25,000 miles on coach all fittings are tight with no leaks around filter etc. I have a code reader but it has no transmission info.
If no one has a quick fix idea then off to an Allison service shop to check out the problem.

Is the tranny fluid level good? Whenever a problem arises on something after maintenance was just performed on it, I immediately suspect that something in the maintenance procedures caused the problem. Any chance you can take the RV back to the place that did the work?
