Wow big blowout hot water tank

Wow i wondered why someone added
A electric water heater and bypassed
The old one pulled foam off and found
This I dont think someone done a proper
Winterizing once dang that on over
Pressure site blowed it either way thats
A big split in tank dang

It's obvious, they didn't drain the tank. That's a very important step in proper winterization.
If you have a friend who could weld it for you for nothing , it would be worth it. But if you have to pay someone, it may not be worth it.
 
Yeah but its 19 years old and just 350 for a new one im better off just replacing it thats the plan
 
I put a new tank on my Atwood last summer.

When my Rig was new I was walking thrugh the shop with the write up consultant and an insurance adjuster who stopped at a Water heater.. I looked at my consultant (After looking at the water heater and said "Forgot to drain it when winterizing" and he said "YES"..


 
The Atwood tank in my Prowler looked similar when I got it.
It was the original 1988 water heater, so I replaced the whole thing for under $300 (pilot only model)
Also had to replace every drain trap and the water inlet valve on the toilet!
Obvious the previous owner never winterized.
