I am planning a trip in June from Sacramento to Yellowstone to Mt Rushmore to Colorado Springs to Salt Lake City and back to Sacramento. I have searched through many posts before posting this. My notes keep getting confusing so I hope that I can get advise from those that are knowledgeable. I will post with legs of the trip to make things easier for commenting. I am looking for any info regarding rerouting for steep climbs, high winds, or narrow terrain.
For the second stretch I am planning to leave Cody WY on WY-120 heading North to Billings MT. From Billings MT I will head East on I-90 pulling into Hardin, then swing North and push on to Miles City MT via MT-47 to I-94E. From Miles City I will turn South on MT-59 to US-212 to US-385 to MT Rushmore. Leaving MT Rushmore I will head South to Harrison NE, then swing West to Douglas WY. From Douglas I plan to I-25S to Colorado Springs. Any advise is appreciated. Thank you.
