Does anyone suggest an area near the beach (preferably dog-friendly beach) where roadside parking is available?

Hunnington Beach has parking on PCH. They may have parking meters thou. I know they have a area where dogs are allowed also, There is parking lots also and a short walk down to the beach. Get there early if your going. Very crowded in the warmer months.

What are you looking for at the beach besides sand and water? PCH between Santa Monica and Malibu has several roadside pullouts where you can day park (not overnight).

Thanks for the heads up on this... I'm visiting some friends in LA, and generally interested in seeing how boondocking-friendly it is, so I'm here for a little while. I'm taking the pch up the coast though, I'll keep an eye out.
