Yes. It is what the unit weighed when it left the factory. There is also a max cargo weight. That is the weight, set by the manufacturer, of everything you can pack into the trailer. Add the dry weight to the cargo weight and you get the gross vehicle weight rating or GVWR. The GVWR is the maximum weight the trailer should never exceed. Once everything you need is loaded you can take your unit to a scale and have it weighed. This scaled weight is called the gross vehicle weight or GVW. This is the actual weight of the trailer fully loaded including all cargo, fluids, passengers and optional equipment.
