attaching side molding on 2017 vista
« on: February 05, 2018, 10:17:37 AM »
I'm new to the forum and have a question. I have a 2017 Vista 35f and recently noticed the side molding has detached (about 4") on driver side about 2/3rd way down toward the back. How is the side molding attached to the RV body (adhesive or by screws which are under the middle plastic insert)? thanks

Hi and welcome.  Could be double sided tape, call or email Winnebago Owner Relations if nobody has a better answer.

Thanks John. I did call Winnebago and found that it is held by screws which are under the middle vinyl insert (part of the molding) which is held on by screws at each end of any section. You have to take out the screws at the end, remove an end tab and then slide out the insert to get to the underlying screws. Only issue is the driver side in which the insert is the total length of the RV. Luckily my issue is only in from the end some 8 feet so won't have to slide the whole insert out.
