I used the fluid and ran thru system,bypassed the hwh. Now i have antifreeze in hw tank,how did it get there. Back flush thru hot water lines ?
 
Either a bypass valve failure, or valve(s) were not lined up correctly are the only things I can think of. Wouldn't think a check valve if the valve(s) were lined up correctly.

  We are experiencing bypass valve ?leak-by? on our 5er. Just bought 2 valves to fix our winterization problem!

How many bypass valves do you have?  1, 2 or 3.  It would also help to know how old your unit is and is it new to you?
