I am looking at a 5th wheel out of state and am wondering about the typical cost for a 5th wheel inspection for a 12000 pound 36 foot fifth wheel. It is located in Wisconsin if that helps.
An basic inspection will likely be $400-$500, but you can buy a more thorough one. You can also hire a mobile RV tech and tell him what you want checked and pay him by the hour to do so. He probably won't do a written report, just a phone conversation (which you also pay for). An hour or two of the tech's time will get you a basic eyes-on look from an experienced person. That's probably $150-$200.
