We have a 2013 C-Max Hybrid, I think they are pretty similar.  I do have issues with the battery going dead on long drives.  Even though I follow Ford's directions on setup and have a trickle charger installed in the car which supposedly keeps the battery up, sometimes it doesn't.  I have gotten into the habit, of when on a long drive, when stopping for a break, or fuel, to get in the car and start the engine, let it run until it shuts itself off.  Then redo the setup and continue. This seems to have solved the issue, although I also carry a battery charger/starter with me in case.  Otherwise, no issues (except the time I set the brakes on fire, but that's cause I didn't install the buddy brake system correctly.....yea, that was a $2500 brake job lesson),

Hi av8tor ,just wondering have you tried turning the key on then back off but don't remove key does the wheel stay unlocked?
