My next project is a bent shower piece.  This is the classic extruded Aluminum frame with plastic sheet inserts in aluminum frame doors.  The top rail, where the doors slide was obviously damaged at some point.  The repair got the rail back functional, but the door does NOT run smoothly because the rail is scolloped.  In bending it back in (or out), they ended up with a sine wave if viewed from above, instead of a smooth long curve.

Any recommendations for getting it straight?  I have considered:
bending with two channel lock style pliers,
cutting a curved block of wood to slip behind the channel and hammering it back,
heating with a torch to soften, then pliers.

The plastic sheet is also pulled out of the door channel, as a result of the scollop, but that is an easy repair.

Any suggestions or comments appreciated.  The height of my sine wave is about ? inch and a frequency of about an inch.
