Water pump hose disconnected?
« on: February 26, 2018, 07:48:02 PM »
So in the pic you'll see I've circled two areas.  There's a clear tube that is attached to the plumbing coming out of (or into) the water pump.  That tube is about 18 inches long and the other end isn't connected to anything.  I'm wondering if this should have been connected some where?  Does anyone know what this is for?  Thanks!!

That probably the short length of hose used to suck antifreeze out of a jug when you winterize the water system.  You can see the black handle which probably needs to be in the raised (up) position in order to start sucking antifreeze. This valve shuts off the line coming from the fresh water tank.

Ditto, Winterizing anti-freeze intake hose and change over valve... I do not have one, nor would I use it if I did, because I much prefer the dry method.. Check forum archives or libraries for a description of how to do that.

I have an identical hose on my camper and had the same question.  Figured it out just before I asked.

It's not a dumb question if you do not know the answer.

I added one to mine. it is for sucking the pink antifreeze out of the jug.
makes it nice and easy and you can winterize your whole rig in five minutes
