I have a new Flagstaff Classic 823. The second time I put it up (thankfully it was in my driveway and not at a campground somewhere), the winch axle failed (sheared in torsion - two pieces) and the roof which was nearly fully elevated, came crashing down. The dealer replaced it with a new unit, and the guy who came to pick it up told me that he's replaced winches or motors at least 6 times this season already. Apparently, there are some major problems with these wiches. Given that I've come to realize that many of the components for PUP's are made by the same manufacturer for all makes of PUP's, I'm guessing this is not just a Flagstaff problem. I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing problems with electric winches. Is it a problem with new units this year or is it a standing problem?

Second question...how long does it take to recharge a fully drained battery? I cannot find any reference to it in my manual bundle
