Last year we drove 9600 miles in 3 months, This summer will be less, I am estimating about 3800 miles because I spent 28 days in the hospital. Normal is close to 10,000 miles a year for us. We are both retired and we do have a son with grandchildren in Omaha.
 
We are in the middle of a 1, 200 mile trip (FL to TX) this week. Today we hit 550 miles to go after six hrs driving; question - continue to a favorite campground 150 miles ahead or stop. That would have resulted in a 450 mile day and, most likely, another 400 mile day tomorrow. Result -we're setting at the LA welcome center with Tara making pizza (and I'm enjoying a toddy). A relaxed night today and two easy 300 mile days ahead. Thats how we roll now (we've made this trip nonstop in the past).) Times change!
