Just picked up our new 2018 Rockwood and during the walkthrough noticed the readout on the screen was pretty dim and only viewable from a certain angle. The salesman walking told us there were different brightness settings on the radio but did not know personally how to adjust it but said the directions were in the manual that comes with the trailer. We were so excited to get on the road that we took his word for it, and to be honest, he was given the assignment to walk us but told his boss he felt ready to solo. Maybe that should have been a clue but as far as we could tell, everything else went fine and he seemed to know what he was talking about.
Anyway seems the radio was already at the brightest level and very difficult unless you stand back about 4 ft to the left. That means each time you press a button, you have to move back to see what comes up. Very annoying and we are not happy since our research is telling us iRV radios are a piece of crap...and the replacement units sent by the factory have the same problems as the original unit had. This is a brand new unit and should be under warrenty for repair/replacement until done right. Doesn?t sound like anyone is getting any satisfaction from the company or Forrest River. Can anyone shed some light how to proceed? I?ve already paid for one radio and shouldn?t have to buy another since it?s the company?s responsibility to make things right. Thoughts please.
