Just picked up our new 2018 Rockwood and during the walkthrough noticed the readout on the screen was pretty dim and only viewable from a certain angle. The salesman walking told us there were different brightness settings on the radio but did not know personally how to adjust it but said the directions were in the manual that comes with the trailer.  We were so excited to get on the road that we took his word for it, and to be honest, he was given the assignment to walk us but told his boss he felt ready to solo.  Maybe that should have been a clue but as far as we could tell, everything else went fine and he seemed to know what he was talking about.

Anyway seems the radio was already at the brightest level and very difficult unless you stand back about 4 ft to the left. That means each time you press a button, you have to move back to see what comes up. Very annoying and we are not happy since our research is telling us iRV radios are a piece of crap...and the replacement units sent by the factory have the same problems as the original unit had.  This is a brand new unit and should be under warrenty for repair/replacement until done right.  Doesn?t sound like anyone is getting any satisfaction from the company or Forrest River. Can anyone shed some light how to proceed? I?ve already paid for one radio and shouldn?t have to buy another since it?s the company?s responsibility to make things right. Thoughts please.

Since the radio is "working as designed", your complaint is one of customer satisfaction. All you can do is make your unhappiness known to the radio manufacturer and Forest River and hope they listen and are sympathetic. The alternative is a civil lawsuit alleging that the radio is unusable as designed, what the lawyers call a lack of fitness for the intended use. That's rarely practical except maybe as a small claims court action (if your state has that option). Or get a bunch of iRV radio owners together in a class action lawsuit.

Write a nice letter of complaint to the Oracle of Omaha, I believe he owns them.  -Bill

Not sure why you already bought a new one as coach is under warranty.
Sadly you may have to change brand to get one you like.
Couldn't hurt to see if mfg will "buy" yours back.
As always....buyer beware. What should be done often is far less than what will be done.
Make sure to post reviews of your experience with any and all sites you can find in hopes of helping others not make the same mistake.
I've found more often than not that when a product gets many poor reviews its usually correct.
