I'm looking to my first trip to Boise Idaho area, in our 2004 National Dolphin 34' with vortec / Allison any advice would be helpful for this summer.

We have gone up I 5 to Oregon and She takes that pass very well.  Thanks

East to Reno 395 north.  It is a nice peaceful drive.  At hwy 20 east to Boise.  As an alternative and depending on time of year, 95 north from I80.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if roads were steep or bad etc. we tow a Honda Element with Blue Ox brake. Probably summer or fall trip. Cheers

I can highly recommend visiting Stanley a bit further than Boise.  We stayed at one of the campgrounds at Redfish Lake. What a gloriously beautiful place.  We drove up highway 21, wow that Payette river and scenery up the canyon was beautiful. Lots of wildflowers up there early in July...

The Taphouse in Boise has amazing guacamole !

Grinkers in Eagle near Boise is a great amusement arcade with all of the old 80s games. Good for young and old kids...
