Today we attended a 'celebration of life' service for Ward Pinther, one of the founders of the Delta Strummers ukulele band. A number of Delta Strummers were in attendance. A few folks related stories of Ward, and we all learned something of his childhood and his career. RIP Ward. In retrospect, I wish I'd told a couple of "Ward stories".

FWIW Ward was a sailor and an RVer.

Aye, that he did Jackie. A number of the original Delta Strummers and some more recent members were there to give him a good send-off.

Thanks Jeff. He was more of an acquaintance than a friend but, as Jackie said, he left behind a musical legacy.

That's too bad, Tom.  Obviously Ward had an impact on your life; you became a ukulele player!  He'll be remembered as long as you all continue playing and telling people about the Delta Strummers.
