Need to overnight somewhere around Quartzite

If you're talking about now or fairly soon, most of the snowbirds have started north and the shows are all over so it's not hard to find a place.  Three large BLM areas are south of town, two on the west side of US 95 and one on the east side.  Our annual RV Forum is at the second area on the south west, at section/road 541 if you want to see where we camp.  There is a BLM entry fee at those three areas.  Also there are some areas north of town that have no fee.  I shouldn't think you'd have any problem at all finding a place where you can run a generator.  There are hundreds of acres of open land there and camping is available in just about any direction.  FYI, Quartzsite has an east entrance and a west entrance off I-10 and the town center is half way between them where US 95 intersects I-10.  Fuel is available at both ends.  There are two fairly good grocery stores at the northeast side of town on Main Street.  Blythe has a large Albertson's.

Ehrinberg is only about 8 miles west of Quartzite, just before Blythe. There are several rv parks on the Colorado River there. There was also some boondocking on the river just south of town as well, but a little harder to describe how to get to. Also, you would have to unhook the car. As stated, there are tons of open spaces around Quartzite on the blm sites.

The easiest overnight say on BLM land near Quartzsite is east of town on the south side of the interstate called Scaddan Wash. Exit I-10 at exit 19, and go south on Riggles to Kuehn, then east on Dome Rock Road East to Scaddan Wash.

The large BLM areas south of Quartzsite closed for the season on April 15, but there are free 14 day areas open year round.  Scaddam Wash is one, but it's right next to the freeway so you'll have that noise all night long.  If you go a couple of miles north of town on US 95 you'll come to two others that will be dead silent except for an occasional generator running until 10 PM.

Hi Jolly 14 day area is on the right side of US 95 3 miles north of the US95/Main Street stoplight in Quartzsite.  You'll see a large cell tower on the left as you come out of the town, Hi Jolly is just past there on the right side of of the road.  It's called Road 244 on Google Maps.

The other large free area is along Plomosa Rd, a right turn onto a paved road about two miles north of Hi Jolly. Free camping allowed 100 ft. or more off the road for several miles along both sides of Plomosa Rd.  You'll see many well worn dirt roads leading into the camping areas.

Any of these will give you all the space you want to pull in without having to disconnect your toad.

But this late in the season Quartzsite is warming up and you may want to have hookups so you can plug in and run your A/C without having to run the generator.  You should be able to find a reasonably priced space in any of the 40+ RV parks in town.
