Hi everyone. We just bought our first travel trailer. It is a 2011 Heartland North Trail 26RKS. We are very excited to try her out as soon as mother nature decides what season we are actually in!
We will be doing long weekends for now with our two big Labs. Can't wait to read more on this forum and learn so much needed tips!

Greetings, and best wishes on your travels. We are out west of Houston, about an hour. We just took our first trip (Vegas in our 5W), and are looking forward to more trips...!

We really want to return to a little place we found by accident, Caverns at Sonora, not far west of San Antonio. I don't know how many times I/we have driven by and not even noticed, but it looked like an interesting tour. We were only there overnight as we were running late getting back home, but we liked what we saw...

In the future, we plan on taking the miniature Dachshund, and possibly our chocolate Lab, who travels very well. It seems to be a bit harder to find dog-friendly sites (not hard, but there are some places that get ruled out), and we're glad we don't have a breed that seems to be unwelcome at the dog-friendly parks (Rottweiler, pits, Dobies, etc)...
