Hi,
I'm new to the world of Schoolie's. and I'm embarking on the journey of doing my own conversion. I have a few very important questions that I need an answer to.
1. Why do people take the original insulation out of the ceiling? The man that wants to do my conversion says that it isn't necessary because it's already insulated just fine. I will be installing a wood stove and he says that is enough. I saw someone take some insulation out of the ceiling and a small portion of the insulation had some mold in it.
2. Is the original insulation in the ceiling as adequate as some foam board?
3. What size and brand of foam board should I use?
I do want to do a tongue and groove cedar ceiling. He says that he can easily apply the tongue and groove over the original ceiling, because the rivets in this bus are flat. Does that sound right?
I really appreciate you for taking the time to answer these questions!
