Somehow, driving a motorhome, he evaded two agencies and a helicopter. ??!

I saw that when it first started. That's a tough position for law enforcement. Slow moving large vehicle, 2 children inside, driver is one of the parents. LEO is not going to force an altercation that may injure the children. Then when the incident gets turned over to CHP everything changes. They will follow it till it runs out of gas. The children were left in the vehicle when the suspect fled unharmed. Best outcome for LEO.

WE SAW part of the pursuit LIVE. Had eaten dinner at Texas Roadhouse, Valley Plaza Mall,Bakersfield. Exiting N.bound from mall heard LOTSA sirens S,bound exit Hwy99 @ Ming Ave across the street from our light. Yess SLOW speed HM came directly across street entering into the Plaza Mall. Heading South thru Parking lots. All police ~ swat ~ news et.et. vehicles screaming behind him for next 3 light changes. We Exited West then North bound onto Oak St. MH exited Mall at South end onto Northbound Oak.St. Most of the 'Parade' then passed North bound on Oak in front of us as we were waiting for that light. Police etc vehicles had 'unbunched' at that time and were interspersed with regular Oak St traffic. MH exited Oak St onto HWY99 @ Wible or California Ave. Helicopter circeling several miles North of us.
We went home. It was interesting
