We installed a new Nautilus water heater in our 5th wheel. The water heater worked fine last night. This morning, the water would not turn on and the red light was showing. Turned everything off. Turned on the switch opened the hot water, put my hand on the gas valve and felt a single knock or click. The demand has value is not opening causing a lockout. Help!!!!

Not sure what the red light signifies, but it sounds like a "failed to light" indicator.  Do you have the On Demand control center or a simple on/off switch for the heater? The On Demand controller displays fault codes, which would be a big help here.

Assuming it entered lockout state, what happens when you reset and retry? Any indication of an attempt to light the burner? How did you determine there is no gas flow vs a failure to ignite?

If you believe the gas valve solenoid clicked, then it could be the valve is clogged with some oil in the LP line, or the valve itself has failed. However, an equally good guess is that the valve opened, yet the burner didn't light.
