During our first experience camping with our recently purchased 2013 Winnie Vista 26HE motor home we had a very annoying knocking sound from the Schwintek slide mechanism while traveling at almost any speed. Seemed to be coming from the slide motor at the forward end of the slide, which is very close to the drivers ears. .......but it could have been also coming from the slide motor at the aft end of the slide.
Research identified a YouTube video, by Lippert, that describes a lubrication process that reduces a/o eliminates the noise. I applied the recommended lubricant, per the video, to both slide motors, followed by a 20 mile run to/from a nearby campground and the noise has completely disappeared. An inexpensive and easy fix!
