Have you tried using a splitter by taking the output of the KingDome and splitting it into two? Use 2 short pieces of coax just behind the receiver and it may work for you.... It did for me at one point but I did not have a KingDome, just an open faced dish. I later changed out the single LNB for a double.

Look at the receiver carefully. My DTV box has 3 coax connections - TO SAT, TO TV ANT IN
My older DVR required to coax to the sat in order to watch one show and record another. With only one connected it worked fine done either, but not both.
