ALL,
I just searched for the documentary KILLER WAVES and it will be shown again
on Saturday, June 9th at 1pm (pacific daylight time) on DirecTV channel 284.
It is very fascinating because mariners, who lived through it, have described
100 foot (30 meters) waves that come at you all of a sudden in a vertical
fashion and the trough preceding the wave turns your ship down at a 45
degree angle just prior to the 100 foot "wall of water" hitting you.
Few have survived these Killer Waves.
Up until now mathematical water-wave theory stated that this can only occur
once in 10,000 years but the insurance industry has found that they are
losing one ship a week each and every year.
The bottom line is that by using satellite photos and a new water-wave
theory that is a more correct description of water waves it is now
understood why one ship a week is being lost. This new maritime info
explains why so many ships have just disappeared with all hands over the
centuries.
