Transfer switchs

Several companies do.. Mine is Intelletec as I recall.. But many companies make 'em.  Most all are good.

Technical Research Company (TRC) makes one in their Surge Guard line that contains spike suppression.. NOT to be confused with a real RV type High/Low voltage protecting Surge Guard but it can help limite damage somewhat.

But Most all of 'em are more or less equal when it comes to the transfer job.
 
TRC/Surge Guard, Progressive Dynamics, WFCO, and Iota are well-known. There is also Elkhart, Furion, and Esco, which I haven't heard anything negative about either.
