Black Rock Mtn. State Park Georgia

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
We live two hours away and love that area. However, any TT over 24' may have trouble finding a spot. Ours is 36" bumper to hitch and can not get in there. We have driven there and love to hike that area. Since you are going to be in that area you may want to look at Fort Mountain State Park located west of Ellijay, GA. Also in the mountains and will accommodate TT and MH over 40'. They also have great hiking, fishing and friendly staff.

If you can get your TT in to a spot at Black Rock you will have great hiking and can travel to many fun places in NC and Tallulah Gorge, GA. They also have very friendly and helpful staff there.

We've visited there many times to enjoy the views. We live within a 2 hour drive but are unable to camp there due to the small camp sites. Sites are only 25ft in length and our campers (TT and fifth wheel) are too long. The road to the park is steep and winding.
An alternative nearby is Mocassin Creek State Park, a very nice campground in the mountains.
We've camped in most of Georgia's state parks, so if you need any suggestions let me know.

Sorry to hijack the post, but we have a site reserved at Tallulah Gorge St Pk next month for our 30? TT. Any words of advice and/or caution would be much appreciated!  Thanks.

It's a nice campground, all sites are gravel and are pretty level. Most of the sites are back in and any trailer longer than 25ft in the sites identified as a 25ft will fill it up and leave little or no room for the tow vehicle.
We camped there about 3 years ago. Be sure to  check your reserved site to make sure it will accommodate your camper.

Thank you regval. The park has just switched over to site-specific reservations. We are in one of the back-ins and should have plenty of room. Appreciate the update; we?re looking forward to a nice visit.
