US 395 Mudslides Near Gardnerville

Saw something today that intimated they would open road quickly. Just need to keep an eye on it...
 
Thanks for the post.  We were thinking of extending our trip a bit and returning via 395 which would take us across the area.  We've been to the area many times and have stayed at the RV park associated with the lodge.  The video doesn't provide any info on the reopening of 395.  Other reports indicate they don't know yet.  My concern is further slides due to more storms.  A major fire last fall apparently left the hillside bare and subject to slides from heavy rainfall.  They recently had a storm which dropped about 1.5 inches of rain.  That's a lot of water on a mountainside with no brush.

Looked awful. Hopefully they can get the road reopened soon.
