I had to make a small incision in the EPDM roof membrane on my coach, in order to lift one of the fiberglass "caps" on the rear edge (to access the rear view camera).

It's only about a 3 inch cut along the radius of the top.  Not sure exactly how to reseal it.  Is there a special caulking?  I'm tempted to just use my "go to" boat product, 3M-5200. (it sticks to pretty much ANYTHING).

so I need to scuff up the adjacent areas of the roof?  I have zero experience with this rubberized roofing.

anyway,  I'm open to suggestions?

thanks folks!

Dicor self leveling caulk would probably work. Or a Dicor patch kit:

Or a piece of Eternabond tape. RV roofs and silicone don't belong in the same sentence, so I wouldn't use the 5200.

I don't believe it's silicone. This link says it's polyurethane and it appears to stick to pretty much anything. Can be used for underwater components.

Thanks Rene, I always thought it was silicone based. Learn something new every day.

Eternabond tape will be sufficient.
X2. I had a puncture where the bracket for the awning jammed and tilted back against the EPDM and tore it. A little piece of Eternabond fixed it right up. Being a bit anal about keeping water out, I put Dicor self leveling sealer over the edges of the Eternabond patch. So far, so good!  :)
