It's been a while since I washed the old tub, but today was the day. We're normally out of town during the summer months, so we haven't had much chance to use the large boat the last few years. A couple of our cars normally sit outside and, after a visit to the car wash, it takes only a couple of days for the peat dirt to accumulate on the vehicles. Same story with the boats.

It's also been a while since the old tub was waxed; Several folks who signed up for the job in the last couple of years either didn't show up or quit very early. I'm not surprised because it has historically taken me 21 days to wax it with a heavy carnuba paste wax.

I have a quote from a detailing company that has detailed our boat in the past. It's a bit pricey, but I'll turn them loose after the holiday.

Beautiful ?old tub? Tom, I?d take it even with all that dirt  ;)

(Quick run down to Monterey oughta wash that dirt off!)

LOL Scott, just takes a few gallons of diesel. FWIW when the carnuba is kept up, it takes only a hose to clean that peat dirt off. As the wax dissipates, it takes boat soap and a brush.
