One of many issues with "high end" appliances at our S & B house ...
I've replaced the double-oven door hinges multiple times, but neither the manufacturer nor 3rd party parts suppliers can get/supply replacement hinges any more. I talked with the OEM manufacturer a couple of days ago and, whilst the customer service guy was quite eager to help, the best he could do was search online.
My belief is that the compression springs in the hinges lose temper, thanks to temperature (in the oven). It seems to me that the hinges could be "re-sprung". Anyone know who could do this? It looks like the spring could be released with just the drilling of a rivet.
