My Onan Marquis Gold 5500 genny has 430 hours on it, 100 of which I put on in the last year.
Although it was running pretty good I thought it clattered more than it should. Figured a valve adjustment might be in order.
The Onan manual calls for a rocker to valve clearance of 0.0035? to 0.0045?. I found both exhaust valves at 0.015? and the intakes at 0.013?.
Another maintenance item checked off.
