Hello Rvers,
There are so many of these discount directories out there, we are looking for feedback on what you feel is the better one or two to purchase.  A bit of our background - live in Kitchener, Ontario, retired, Monday to Thursday campers, will winter in Punta Gorda, Fort Meyers, Naples Florida.  Will stay for 4-5 months at one or several RV Parks.
Are the discounts available at better parks or just at less popular locations?  What other benefits are there to these directories?
Any info that you can share is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Guys

We are currently in three discount programs, KOA Value Kard, Good Sam Club, and Passport America.  All three provide good benefits.

Passport America probably provides the best discount, usually 50% off.  However, a lot of places will only offer the discount for a day or two.

Good Sam Club offers a 10% discount on stays, and a fuel discount at Pilot/Flying J stations.  The fuel discount is available for both gas and diesel (we use gas, and it is a 5 cents a gallon discount).

We probably get the most benefit from the KOA Value Card of the three programs, simply because we like KOA campgrounds and use the KOA card more than the others.  The KOA Value Kard gets you a 10% discount, and earns points for every stay.  Reaching certain point levels gets you discounts on stays (for example, 15,000 points gets a $25.00 discount).

That's a brief overview of the clubs we use, hope it helps!

Drive safely,

We use Good Sam. I looked at Passport America but there weren't too many places in the western states we are visiting so didn't bother. Depending on where you are staying the RV Park sometimes has deals that negate the use of the discount card if you are staying for a week or longer.

Have fun out there!

Another point.  The discounts are usually only good for discounts from the nightly rates.  On longer stays, you'll get better savings from using the campgrounds weekly or monthly rates.  I doubt you'll get any discounts in southwest Florida in the winter, if you can even find one with availability.
