We bought a new camper, and it is wired with a solar connector on the front of it, have purchased a 2 watt solar panel.
just to keep a trickle charge on the battery  :-\, as the camper sits for a few weeks at a time. So do we need a charge controller with this small a solar panel?  we only have one battery..

No you don?t need a controller. If the panel really is 2 watts that?s not enough to keep the battery charged. Did you mean 2 amps?

There is no need for a controller with a small solar panel. Probably anything under 30 watts will be fine, and maybe even as much as 50 watts.  The amps to the battery aren't that great, even at peak sun, and the power is applied only part of the day.

I hope that "2 watt" was a type. Otherwise, you wasted your money. Even a 12 watt panel is of almost zero value.
