Hello all, Question for the forum? When you are between trips(I'm able to park my coach at home) do you drain the fresh water tank?

No, I actually make sure it's full. In the summer heat I try and drain/refill every month or so, if it's cool/cold I'll go 2-3 months. Since it's likely you're using chlorinated water, it can sit for a long time.

If I am not going to use it for a few weeks I drain the fresh tank and the water heater so the anode rod does not continue to erode. Water is pretty cheap.

I fill with well water, filtered and softened, nope I don't drain it I fill it when home and keep it that way til the next trip or winterizing time.

Unless it's been winterized, we leave water on board. We have used the motorhome for water, electricity and refrigeration numerous times for extended power outages. Twice so far this year.

I change the water if I'm in the ssme spot more than a month. Otherwise I think is't safe snd doesn't require any spevial attention.

Ernie
