My rather simple 2S2P 4 panel system still required a junction box on the roof.

I put this box together from a PVC 4? sealed box and misc. parts from Lowe?s.

It will receive two 10-2 cables from the panels. A pair of 4 AWG welding cables exit the bottom and through the roof into an interior cabinet.

Nice!  I also made my own combiner box with the same components, it has worked well and gave me plenty of room to add fuses for each panel.

Thanks Kev,

The system is slowly coming together. I pulled a pair of 8-3 SOOW cables through the bowels from the bathroom vanity (where the breaker panel lives) to the compartment just aft of the entrance door (where the inverter will be). What a project that turned out to be. It took two of us, three different wire snakes, an endoscopy camera and a long day to accomplish. Once the snake was in the actual pulling of the wire went well.
