We are considering looking at a '98 Discovery 36T $34,500 and possibly a 00' Journey 36L $39,900 at a dealer a couple of hours away this weekend.

Usage would be multiple weekends and a couple of weeks throughout the year.

If you had your pick which one would you go with and maybe why?, and I know the multiple opinions I am liable to get will very, but we always value what we receive in feedback on this site.

Thanks.

Those are similar rigs and I don't see anything in the specs that would make me lean toward one or the other, so it's probably a matter of condition and which one you like better.    I would be focused on floor plan details, e.g. storage space, bath & galley convenience, furnishings for your personal comfort, etc.  That, plus condition and state of maintenance.

My only issue with both those is the propane generator. They suck up a lot of propane. I myself wouldn't buy either based on that. But that is just me

Agree with all above.  Looks like the Discovery has the larger fridge, but the Winnie has the better gelcoat.  Knowing what I know now and the reliance on the gen for AC down the road, the LP would be a big disadvantage.

Thank you for your inputs.

The Discovery got sold before we could get down to look at it.

I understand your points about the LP generator.

Don?t know much about the Journey.

Still looking.
