Hi folks-
I bought a 2001 Viking 1906 pop-up camper and took it out for a trip last week. Worked great all around, but for the fridge. The 3-way Dometic cooled well when the propane was running, but my problem was keeping the propane lit. For starters, the piezo igniter doesn't work at all - no biggie, I just used a BIC lighter. I could light it and it'd stay lit for 5-10 minutes, or sometimes hours, but eventually it'd go out. It's not due to wind or drafts - this happened even with completely calm weather. I suspect what's happening is that the safety feature that trips the propane valve when the pilot goes out is too sensitive. Sometimes it lights right away, other times it takes a bunch of tries before it stays lit. Any advice on where I start to fix this? Or is professional help warranted?
Thanks,
Sean
P.S. I should mention that the other propane appliances (stove and heater) work just fine.
