At just before dusk, they all came out to graze along the Trans Canada Highway, in the hours or so until it was too dark to see them, we must have seen over a hundred, maybe even more.  It is quite a rush, but made me very nervous as they do sever damage if hit, and moose will attack lights.

I bet you were nervous.  Last fall we were coming across 64 through northern NM at just about dusk.  I saw a couple of deer cross the road in front of us, and then about a mile later I just barely picked up the shape of a couple of elk in the edge of my headlight beams.
I pulled over at the next possible pull out and called it a night.

Is that the disease where they just tend to go around in a circle continuously?

Bill

That's one of the symptoms in the later stages, Bill, along with extreme weakness, lameness, blindness, and loss of fear for humans. There have been a few reports of moose recovering from brainworm, but for the most part, it's fatal.
