Question my friends?  While on a trip a few weeks ago my generator (diesel) would start and then go off in a few minutes. After the second or 3rd time I smelled something that smelled like wiring burning. Arriving back home my son in law who is very handy looked at it and said it appears to be in the switch on the inside of the coach.  Said he can replace it and he has looked online for one the same as mine with no luck. My question is would the switch come from Winnebago or Cummins or a different source? Has anyone else ever had this problem. My RV is a 2015 Winnebago View. TIA!

I've never even seen the inside of a view, so no idea who made the switch, but regardless, Winnebago can get you the replacement.

Welcome. I think the gen start switch circuit is low voltage and I would be amazed if that is what you are smelling. I would do more diagnostics before I start throwing parts at the problem.
